The company

Our client a highly reputable and established consultancy require a Senior Electrical Engineer at Associate / Team leader level for this new role. We’re seeking a technically capable allrounder for this key role where you will play a pivotal role in the growth of the business.

The business has a national footprint and get a lot of repeat work with a client base in the healthcare, Government and infrastructure sectors. They are currently in a growth phase and are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Melbourne office.

About you:

We require an experienced Electrical Engineer with 10 plus years’ experience in the building services sector. You will be able to manage and lead projects while having the hands-on ability to manage all aspects of a project independently from taking a brief to construction management. You will have first class communication, negotiation and technical skills along with the ability to mentor junior staff and lead a team. You will be technically confident, managed project meetings, liaised with Architects, Developers and local government while being able to develop new business.


  • 10+ years’ Electrical building services experience
  • First class presentation skills
  • You will be a high performing project leader with high level of technical ability
  • Strengths in time management being able to deliver multiple projects
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering possibly at Chartered status
  • First class communication and organisation skills.
  • RBP Certified
  • Business development skills
  • Conversant with AGI, Dialux and Bluebeam


  • Fully detailed electrical design
  • Managed projects
  • Lead multidiscipline teams
  • Review drawings and create sketches for documentation.
  • Undertake calculations (cable sizing etc.) maximum demand.
  • General Power and Electrical Sub System design
  • LV and possibly HV Design.
  • Communication systems /Telecommunications
  • Uninterrupted power supplies.
  • Knowledge of EWiS, Thermal & smoke fire alarms.
  • Knowledge of AV and security systems.
