The Company

A prominent property developer, has been creating thriving residential communities since its establishment over 30 years ago. The company’s projects, such as exemplify its dedication to combining international experience with local expertise to deliver high-quality living spaces that meet the needs and desires of residents.

They are now seeking to appoint a Senior Development Manager to take responsibility of an existing large-scale development and to spearhead the earlier stages of an upcoming project of scale.

The Role

The Senior Development Manager (SDM) role is pivotal to the success of key projects, specifically one currently being delivered of over 1000 lots, and another upcoming large scale project. This role has emerged due to the necessity to drive project success amid challenging external conditions, predominantly lot caps associated with traffic and transport delivery requirements. The SDM will also play a critical role in fostering team culture, strategic planning, and ensuring project feasibility and performance.


  • Oversee project commencement, ensuring compliance with sales contracts, master plan formulation, and managing relationships for timely planning and authority approvals.
  • Establish and lead a high-quality project team and ensure productive relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, and legal teams.
  • Provide strategic guidance for lot mix, urban design, civil and landscaping, and oversee Development Manager responsibilities.
  • Actively contribute to sales strategies, develop pricing and marketing strategies, and manage the sales release program to meet targets.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on funding, manage project valuations and feasibility updates, and oversee communication with debt and equity providers.
  • Handle legal matters, review contracts and legal documents, ensure compliance with legislation and take advice from internal legal counsel.
  • Embody and promote the company Values, mentor and develop team members, ensure compliance with company policies, and maintain regular team meetings for effective communication and cooperation.
  • Prepare and present periodic project reports to stakeholders, and contribute to investor reports, ensuring transparent and effective communication regarding project progress and outcomes

About You

To be suitable for the Senior Development Manager role, you will ideally possess a strong background in urban planning and project management -specific experience in pre-PSP processes would be advantageous, but not crucial. You should have a proven track record of driving large-scale residential development projects to successful completion. Strong strategic thinking, the ability to navigate complex project challenges, and experience with feasibility analysis are essential. You should be adept at fostering team culture, working collaboratively with sales and marketing teams, and presenting project performance to senior stakeholders. Experience with Estate Master or similar project management software will be highly advantageous.
