New Business Development Manager – Medium Density

The Role

We have partnered with a large building organisation on a Senior appointment for a New Business Development Manager, reporting to the General Manager. Your purpose will be to foster external and internal relationships and drive opportunity for the medium density business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building successful relationships with Developers and other relevant property organisations such as government agencies and affordable housing groups and identifying new medium density and spec home opportunities.
  • Evaluating potential opportunities, analysing the financial aspects and assessing their alignment with the company’s strategic and financial objectives
  • Working cross-functionally with other internal teams such as design, production and estimating
  • Leading the tendering process including preparing tender pricing on all project opportunities
  • Preparing design briefs for medium density opportunities
  • Working with various external stakeholders including architects to execute projects successfully

What You’ll Need

  • Strong experience & knowledge of the Residential Building/Housing industry relating to medium density and spec housing, ideally in a similar role in New Business Development otherwise in Sales Management, Acquisitions etc. Prior management/leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in reviewing legal documents and negotiating commercial agreements with developer partners
  • Experience with negotiating agreements with government agencies and affordable housing organisations or similar will be highly valued
  • Extensive network within the Property Development industry
  • Strong understanding of the target market for medium density and housing, and understanding of the lot and product typologies
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Commerce, Marketing, Property, Finance
  • Strong commercial acumen, communication and negotiation skills
