Kingfisher Labour Hire is seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter for an immediate start in a hospital/health care environment in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. This casual role offers the potential for ongoing work and full-time opportunities for the right candidate.

Position: Maintenance/Carpenter (Casual)
Location: Melbourne CBD, VIC
Start Date: As early as Monday!

About the Role:
In this role, you will undertake a range of carpentry, handyman and maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of hospital facilities. Your duties will include:

• Hanging doors and minor carpentry tasks
• Plastering walls and concrete remediation
• Building cover and cappings
• Timber works
• Performing minor repairs and maintenance work as per daily work orders
• Responding promptly to minor reactive work to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Engaging with hospital staff, doctors, nurses, and the public, requiring a high level of public awareness and customer service

  Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a handyman or maintenance role
• Valid White Card
• Ability to use hand and power tools such as an impact drill and screwdriver
• Willingness to undergo WHS induction and additional training
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to site safety
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under supervision

  Tools and Equipment:

• All necessary tools will be provided
• Bring your own basic power tools on the first day as backup
• Full PPE required: steel cap lace-up boots, work pants, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and long-sleeve hi-vis shirt
