About the Role

You will be supporting the Senior Development Manager and an existing Project Manager in the execution of two significant land sub-division projects; one actively trading with over 1,800 lots remaining to be delivered, the other in planning circa 2000 lots. You will take an active role in managing aspects of these projects, including civil and infrastructure delivery, design, tendering, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of project design, construction, and compliance, including meticulous project planning and budgeting.
  • Conduct and manage project control group meetings, while diligently preparing necessary reports.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of the construction claim and variation process, ensuring that claims accurately reflect the value of completed works within the agreed budget.
  • Coordinate tender documentation and processes to appoint preferred contractor/s.
  • Collaborate closely with all stakeholders to maintain smooth project execution.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrates a successful track record as a Development/Project Manager with a land developer or project management consultancy on large residential estate projects from start to finish.
  • Exhibits a self-motivated, ambitious, and proactive approach, with an ongoing desire for professional development.
  • Capable of working autonomously, efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhering to tight schedules.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills, presenting ideas with confidence and clarity.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
