Position Overview

The Development Manager is responsible assisting with the successful delivery of projects varying in size and complexity, together with aiding in new potential property acquisitions. Projects are typically medium density apartment projects, with the current portfolio consisting of over 200 apartments, townhouses, and aged-care homes across Melbourne.

The Development Manager is expected to exercise a high level of independent judgement when conducting the role with the ability to act autonomously or in a team environment across activities.

Responsibilities

The general responsibilities for this role will include, but may not be limited to:

• Preparation, monitoring and updating front end feasibility analyses for current and upcoming projects
• Assist and make recommendations on external consultants to achieve high quality design plans within budget and time constraints
• Management of the town planning process including preparation of submission to council authorities through management and liaison with external Town Planning consultants
• Ensure all projects performance is key performance indicators are set, costed, deliverable and managed through to successful completion;

Requirements

To be suitably qualified and experienced for this position, you will possess the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in a property or development related discipline
• Well-developed feasibility and reporting skills, across new opportunities and projects being delivered
• Preparation of consultant briefs, tenders, engaging and managing a range of professional consultants including external PM’s, architects, engineers, QS and other disciplines
• Oversight of project budgets and programs ensuring they are tracking in line with agreed expectations
• Chairing and recording minutes at meetings and preparation of a variety of written reports ensuring compliance with organisational requirements
• Management of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring you are protecting the interests and always enhancing the reputation of the business
• A passion for the Social/Affordable/Community housing sector.
