Development Manager – Social Housing

The Role

Working closely with the General Manager Development & Assets, your role will be to take ownership of the delivery of a defined project portfolio, together with providing assistance in new potential property acquisitions. Projects are typically medium density apartment projects, with the current portfolio consisting of over 1,000 homes across over 30 sites in Melbourne.


To be suitably qualified and experienced for this position, you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a property or development related discipline
  • Well-developed feasibility and reporting skills, across new opportunities and projects being delivered
  • Preparation of consultant briefs, tenders, engaging and managing a range of professional consultants including external PM’s, architects, engineers, QS and other disciplines
  • Oversight of project budgets and programs ensuring they are tracking in line with agreed expectations
  • Chairing and recording minutes at meetings and preparation of a variety of written reports ensuring compliance with organisational requirements
  • Management of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring you are protecting the interests and enhancing the reputation of the business at all times
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with all statutory and OH&S requirements
