About the role

Join a highly reputable, award-winning developer as a Development Manager, where you’ll play a crucial role in the overall operation and successful management of a significant project within the Major Projects division. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a dynamic team handling all facets of development, including residential, hotels, communal spaces, retail, and F&B offerings. Your grit, determination, and drive will be essential in delivering some of Melbourne’s largest, world-class projects with numerous moving parts.

This company is hiring two Development Managers to join the major projects team. Each Development Manager will be working on a different project.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Prepare project briefings, seek quotes, and manage Consultant Agreements including novation and fee reconciliation.
  • Monitor agreement execution, chair consultant meetings, and manage consultant invoicing.
  • Develop marketing strategy, oversee budget, and manage external sales materials and collateral creation.
  • Organise display gallery construction, manage contracts, conduct market research, and propose apartment prices.
  • Prepare, review, and issue Contracts of Sale (COS) and manage updates to the Purchaser Offer Statement (POS).
  • Track COS progress, update master price lists, and maintain accurate purchaser information.
  • Develop and oversee project program, providing monthly status updates and managing annexure documentation.
  • Coordinate legal briefings, assist in tender processes, and manage project financial performance.
  • Collaborate with Analyst team to complete feasibility reviews and assess project viability.
  • Track project cashflow and confirm inputs.
  • Assist in preparing town planning packages and manage Plan of Subdivision preparation.
  • Coordinate project completion requirements and oversee retail liquor licensing approval.
  • Prepare and distribute purchaser communications and coordinate FF&E procurement.
  • Lead valuation preparation and manage furnished apartment furniture rental or purchase.

Ideal candidate

  • 3+ years in an existing Development role.
  • Mixed-use, apartments, hotel, commercial, retail experience preferable.
  • You will require a thrive to learn and work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Proven experience managing the full development life-cycle.
  • Highly capable of working autonomously as well as be able to work collaboratively where needed.
  • In depth knowledge of development process including acquisitions, feasibilities, entitlements, design development, and project delivery.
