The Company

This client-side Project Management Consultancy has offices in Queensland and New South Wales. They work primarily across new build and refurbishment projects nationally within the aged care/retirement living, commercial and medical centre sectors.

They provided strong mentorship, leadership, exceptional systems and processes that have been tailored to drive successful outcomes for clients.

This firm is in the process of delivering an innovative, significant, and challenging community precinct project involving cutting edge building smart technology. Encompassing multiple sector components to the build.

The Role

This Assistant Project Manager position will suit a “self-starter” with experience in commercial new-build construction or project management. They will be supporting the Project Manager and Project Director on an Iconic major development for the local Council.

In this role you will be assisting the Project Manager in delivering the full suite of project management services which will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in design development and construction documentation phases, separable portion works and concurrent delivery activities
• Assisting in risk management, cost and program management, including self and team task scheduling
• Assisting the project manager in contract administration for onsite works management

Requirements

• A degree qualification in property, project management, construction management or similar
• A minimum of 2 years delivering large scale commercial D&C projects
• Experience in an Assistant Project Management capacity (ideally client-side or consultancy)
• Ideally an understanding or experience in creating and managing Project Management plans
• Must have proven track record of working in a team with simultaneous multiple interface projects underway.
• Assisting in successfully delivering multiple phases of project development lifecycle through to completion.
• You will also need to be motivated and show a genuine interest in projects along with excellent presentation and communication skills.
